Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Maria Zakharova expressed her condolences to relatives of Sahiba Guliyeva and her 2 years old granddaughter Zahra Guliyeva, who were killed by armed forces of Armenia yesterday.
She stressed the need to hold constructive peace talks on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
"On July 4, there was another violation of the ceasefire regime on the contact line, which caused human casualties, including among civilians, and a child was killed. We offer our condolences to relatives of the deceased," the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza cited Zakharova as saying.
"We consider the bloodshed unacceptable and urge the conflict parties to take necessary measures to stabilize the situation. We support the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs’ statement that calls for the cessation of the use of force and the resumption of negotiation," the official spokesperson of the ministry concluded.
On July 4, around 20:40, as the result of targeted and deliberate attacking of civilians and civilian objects of the Alkhanli village of Fizuli region of Azerbaijan by armed forces of Armenia with 82 and 120 mm mortars and heavy grenade launchers, Sahiba Guliyeva (born in 1967) and her 2 years old granddaughter Zahra Guliyeva were killed.
