Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, supported the efforts aimed at normalizing relations between Ankara and Yerevan.
The heads of departments positively assessed the first meeting in the 3 + 3 format to normalize the situation and develop cooperation in the region. The parties agreed to prepare the next meeting in the near future.
"Sergei Lavrov expressed support for the efforts to normalize relations between Turkey and Armenia," the ministry's press service informed.
