The presidential election in the Azerbaijani Republic is the country’s internal affair, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said today, answering an Armenian journalist’s question at a briefing.
The diplomat said that it is necessary to ask the Azerbaijani government first about the motive, format and reasons for the elections.
"The Azerbaijani government has already commented on it," APA cited Zakharova as saying.
The early presidential election in Azerbaijan is scheduled for April 11, 2018.
