The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the situation around the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START), the Russian Federation suspended its participation in this document exactly a month ago.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that Moscow had no negotiations with Washington on this topic to date. The Minister said this in an interview with TASS.
For the first time, the Kremlin announced a possible suspension of participation in the New START Treaty just over a month ago. A few days after that, Moscow officially suspended its participation in the document, which had been in force for 13 years ago.
