Moscow and Riyadh can cooperate in resolving multiple global problems, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the meeting with UAE’s Federal National Council Speaker, Amal Al Qubaisi.
"We consider your visit as another confirmation of close, trusting relations between our countries. Our leaders regularly talk in person and on the telephone. Cooperation continues between the foreign ministries, investment structures," TASS cited Lavrov as saying.
"Russian and Emirati citizens have very warm feelings toward each other. This is explained by the large Russian diaspora and an even bigger tourist flow from our country. Inter-parliamentary contacts facilitate successful development of relations in all spheres. We are glad that they are developing intensively," Lavrov stressed.
He reminded that the Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko visited the UAE at the beginning of 2016.
"We appreciate the opportunity to meet with you, hope for a fruitful discussion on international affairs, where our countries can cooperate in resolving multiple problems," he concluded.
