Rosstat has released information about a decline in the GDP of Russia. According to preliminary estimates it dropped 4.6% in the second quarter of the year after a 2.2% fall in the first.
"Rosstat carried out a preliminary assessment of the dynamics of GDP in the second quarter of 2015 on the basis of available information. The index of physical volume of gross domestic product in the second quarter of 2015, against the corresponding period of 2014, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 95.4%," the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement.
