Russia's Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Osmakov believes that the development of light industry is a priority for the North Caucasus Federal District's regions, as they have great potential.
Deputy Minister noted that the traditional specialization of the region is the production of wool - it is really good at it, TASS reports.
Therefore, light industry is "one of those areas that we consider to be a priority along with the development of the mineral and raw materials base," Osmakov explained.
