Russian President Vladimir Putin laid the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to celebrate the Defender of the Fatherland Day.
The ceremony was also attended by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, the State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, the Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and other state and political figures, as well as Great Patriotic War veterans.
