The new Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, delivered a copy of his credentials to the US State Department and waits for a meeting with President Donald Trump provided in the protocol, the ambassador said on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel.
The Russian diplomat added, that at a meeting in the State Department he stressed that Moscow does not need a diplomatic war with Washington. "We have identified the problems that exist today in the Russian-American relations. I believe, one of them is an unnecessary diplomatic war started by our colleagues," he said.
