Russian and Iranian football teams may hold rematch

The Russian Football Union (RFU) is interested in holding another friendly football match against Iran either this year or next year, RFU said.

"The Russian Football Union is interested in holding this match either this year or next year," Sport-Express daily cited the statement as saying.

The Russian national football squad played an away friendly against the Iranian national team on March 23, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw at the over 78,000-seat capacity Azadi Stadium in Tehran.
