Russian central bank analysts predict more rate cuts this year

The Bank of Russia has room for a rate cut by the end of this year, analysts at the central bank said on Wednesday, Nasdaq reports.

"The existing balance of risks speaks for keeping moderately tight monetary policy with a room for a lower rate in the second half of 2017," the central bank's analysts said in a monthly report on economic trends.

This view is in line with a market consensus that the central bank would trim its key rate for the fourth time so far this year at its next rate-setting meeting on Sept. 15.
