The number of counterfeit euros in Russia exceeds the number of counterfeit rubles, due to a higher level of protection of the domestic currency, the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank Georgi Luntovsky said.
‘‘According to statistics, 12 counterfeits could be found out of 1 million banknotes in Russia. In the eurozone this figure was about 48 counterfeits out of 1 million banknotes in 2014.
