The Russian delegation in its full composition will not participate in the session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which will be held in Helsinki on July 5-9, the State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin reported today, after the Finnish Foreign Ministry earlier denied him a visa.
"It is unacceptable to lower the level of representation of delegations of Russia," TASS quoted him as saying.
"At the same time, Russia will continue to participate in the work of the OSCE PA, and will send a delegation to the next session in Mongolia," he added, explaining that "the Finnish authorities refused to allow members of the Russian delegation to participate at the session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly under pressure from Washington and Brussels."
