The Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) set the task for the Russian national football team.
"The main task for the next year is to qualify for the 2020 UEFA Euro Cup," member of the RFU committee Igor Lebedev wrote on his Twitter page.
In addition, he said that the RFU Executive Committee has ruled to regard the results of Russian national football teams in 2018 as positive.
Lebedev added that the RFU has decided to submit its bid with the UEFA to host the final of the 2021 Champions League in St. Petersburg. "The main rival is Munich," TASS cited him as saying.
