Russian grain price falls due to Turkish factor

Russian grain price falls due to Turkish factor

Russian grain fell in price by 5% from 11,850 rubles to 11,300 rubles per ton during the period November 24-December 7.

The Director of the Institute for Conjuncture of the Agrarian Market, Dmitry Rylko, explained this fact was due to three reasons. First, now world grain prices are falling due to an increase in seasonal offers from farmers. Secondly, there is the Turkish factor, as exporters fear a ban on imports of Russian grain.

This situation is compounded by the fact that Turkey remains the main buyer of Russian wheat, Vedomosti reports.
