Russian gymnasts Aleksandra Soldatova and Dina Averina became the best in ribbon qualifying competitions at the European Championships in Baku with the results of 20.325 and 20.200 points, respectively.
Bulgarian athlete Catherine Taseva ranked the 3rd with a score of 19,950 points.
Belarusian gymnast Anastasia Salos ranked the 4th (19.600 points). She is followed by gymnast from Italy Milena Baldassari (18.800 points). Bulgarian gymnast Boryana Kalain became the 6th with the score of 18.750.
Baku is hosting the 35th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships at the National Gymnastics Arena. Athletes from 35 countries are taking part in the championships. During the four-day championships, senior female gymnasts will perform in the individual program, while junior gymnasts will participate in the group exercise program. In total, the gymnasts will compete for 8 medal sets.
