Russia is waiting for introduction of a new national standard for number plates. The work on the new state standard is already conducted by specialists of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is planned to reduce the size of number plates for motorcycles, introduce special number plates for sport and retro cars, as well as for American and Japanese cars, Kommersant reports.
