Russian police battalion entered Aleppo, Shoigu says

The Russian battalion of the military police has entered the liberated areas of the Syrian city of Aleppo, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said.

The Minister explained that the battalion was deployed on the liberated territory to maintain the order,  Lenta.ru reports.

The Minister also noted that the operation for the withdrawal of the militants from Aleppo carried out in close cooperation with the representatives of Turkey and Iran, has been completed.
