Young men who completing general education, from January 1 next year will be able to get a deferment from military service before graduation, the head of the call-out direction and preparation of citizens for military service of the main organizational and mobilization department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel Alexei Knyazev said.
"If they now get a reprieve until the age of twenty, if they enter the college after the 9th grade and after the 11th grade, they receive a reprieve only when the reach the military age during the last year of studying in this organization, ... On January 1st, 2017, they will receive a reprieve before graduation,’’ Echo of Moscow quotes him as saying.
