The wildfire season is in full swing in Türkiye, but this does not frighten Russian tourists, the Russian Union of Travel Industry shared.
"I think the fires will continue in the next two weeks. People, of course, react. For example, before checking in, they clarify whether the fire threatens their hotel or not. There was not a single refusal — only clarifications on the situation. We do not see a decrease in demand",
the General Director of the "Pink Elephant" travel agency network, Alexan Mkrtchyan, said.
Due to the intense heat, fires are now also observed in Greece, but this destination is not in great demand among Russian travelers. Those who have chosen Greece for their summer holiday also do not cancel their plans.
The Intourist company also reported that tourists from the Russian Federation continue to regularly vacation in Antalya. The company clarified that the fires breaking out in the region did not threaten resort hotels. They affect only remote areas.
