The Russian women's team won gold in ski relay at the Beijing Olympics.
Athletes covered the distance of 4x5 km in 53 minutes 41.0 seconds. The German team (+18.2 sec) won the silver medal, the Swedes became the third (+20.7).
Thus, the skiers brought the third Olympic gold to the the Russian Olympic Committee team.
