Russian tourists who were not able to travel to Egypt on prepaid packages will be able to use them within a year, the press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Irina Turina stated.
"The first thing that tour operators and travel agents offer tourists is to postpone their unrealized tours until the restrictions on flights are lifted," she said.
According to her, in this case tourists will not have to pay more, and the new tour will meet all the parameters of the unrealized tour. Turina also added that currently many travel companies are offering analogous holidays, primarily in Turkish resorts.
It should be noted that Egypt was one of the most popular destinations for Russian citizens, so this situation will certainly affect the Russian tourism industry, TASS reports.
