Russians, Iranians are Ukrainians are the most active foreign nationals in real estate transactions in Türkiye, the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜİK) said.
In June, foreigners bought a total of 1,440 homes in Türkiye.
"In June, the most house sales by country nationality were made to citizens of Russia with 332, Iran with 156, and Ukraine with 102," TÜİK said.
Foreigners are still losing appetite for buying real estate in Türkiye. Foreigners’ transactions in the Turkish real estate market have shown a steep decline in the first quarter of 2024, declining by 45%.
The Mediterranean resort city of Antalya, Istanbul and another Mediterranean city of Mersin saw the highest number of house sales to foreigners.
