Russians prepared for spending holidays in Caucasus

Vice-president of the Russian Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) Ilya Umansky said the summer tourist season in Russia is currently not at risk this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"We will have the [tourist] season," he is confident. "There's a sharply recovered demand, we can say that the situation is being normalized," TASS cited Umansky as saying.

The vice-president of ATOR believes that this summer season will be "of high quality, with good results." The Russian Association of Tour Operators reported a surge in early tour bookings around the country, in particular, on the Black Sea coast. The most popular early booking destinations of the Caucasian Mineral Waters are Pyatigorsk, Essentuki, Kislovodsk and Zheleznovodsk, Umansky added.
