The qualifications in the men's individual program of the European Aerobic Gymnastics Championship finished in Baku. The best result was shown by Russian Roman Semenov - the judges rated his performance at 21.95 points.
The 2nd place in the qualifying competitions was also won by Russian athlete Timur Kulayev with 21.5 points, gymnast from Bulgaria Antonio Papazov became the 3rd with 21.35 points.
Another representative from Bulgaria, Tikhomir Barotev (21.3 points), Florian Bugallo (France, 21.2 points), Davide Nacci (Italy, 20.95 points), Gabriel Boxer (Romania, 20.95 points) and his compatriot Stefan Kostin Khustea (20.8 points) also got into the finals.
The gymnast from Azerbaijan Vladimir Dolmatov became the 9th with the result of 20.75 points and now is in reserve.
The European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships is being held in Baku for the first time. During three-day championships, senior and junior gymnasts will compete in the programs of 'Individual Women', 'Individual Men', 'Mixed Pairs', 'Trios', 'Groups', as well as 'Aerobic Dance', 'Aerobic Step' (only seniors). In the team competition, the winners will be defined for the five best performances. The championships will bring together gymnasts from 22 countries. In total, the gymnasts will compete for 15 medal sets.
