Russia’s minimal wage increased

Russia's State Duma has passed a bill to increase minimal monthly wage by 7.5%, up to 12,130 rubles (over $190), starting January 1, 2020.

Current minimal monthly wage is estimated at 11,280 rubles.

Changes are to be introduced into the Federal Law on the Minimum Rate of Labour Payment. The increase will apply about 3.2 million people, according to the Russian Labour Ministry.

The total flow rate of the country’s budget system will reach 20.9 billion rubles ($330.5 million), including 5.8 billion rubles from the federal budget and 15.1 billion rubles from the regional budgets, RAPSI reported.
