After the conclusion of the final agreement on the Iranian nuclear program, the US authorities are using flimsy excuses to build a missile defense system in Europe, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov stated.
"The US administration artificially tightens the basis of the argument under a decision adopted for other reasons to continue and intensify the pace of the creation of the European missile defense system," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
"We have always said that in its advanced stages this project will carry a certain devaluing effect on the Russian strategic forces. After the settlement of the Iranian nuclear program the United States has even fewer arguments, and we will continue to draw attention to this," the deputy minister stressed.
