The session of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers started in Tashkent.
Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov said that "the current meeting is the final stage of preparation for the SCO summit, scheduled for 23-24 June 2016 in Tashkent".
“I am confident that it will be held in a constructive atmosphere with mutual understanding and cooperation,” he said, adding that the ministers will discuss draft programs and the agenda for the upcoming council.
The meeting will also discuss certain international and regional problems.
The Russian delegation at the meeting in Tashkent is headed by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The meeting also attended by the Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Evgeny Sysoev and the SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov.
