The State Oil Company SOCAR does not exclude the possibility that in the future it will be able to deliver gas to India and Pakistan, the head of the company Rovnag Abdullayev said.
He noted that, despite the decline in oil prices in the world market, SOCAR is not reducing investments in large projects. In addition, the low cost of oil production gives the company an advantage over other exporters of hydrocarbons.
"The 'Southern Gas Corridor' project, which envisages the transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe, is competitive and we have already signed contracts to sell it for a period of 30 years," Abdullayev added.
At the same time, the head of SOCAR said that the company has no plans to enter the Asian market, but "in the future, we could export gas to promising markets such as India and Pakistan," Trend reports.
