The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has appointed Rufat Mahmud as the new head of its Russian subsidiary, Socar Rus LLC, with the corresponding changes entered in the Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (USRLE) on January 9, according to USRLE data.
Farid Jafarov was the former head of Socar Rus LLC, having directed SOCAR's Russian structure since its foundation in 2013.
Socar Rus LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the SOCAR, specializing in trading oil, petroleum products and petrochemicals in Russia under direct contracts and on the exchanges.
