The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will start construction works as a part of modernization of the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery in 2017, Trend reports.
Earlier ChemicalOnline reported that he State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) would use a suite of Honeywell UOP technologies to modernize its oil refinery in Baku, Azerbaijan, to produce high-quality gasoline that meets stricter emission standards.The effort will help Azerbaijan to meet growing domestic demand for transportation fuels that meet international emission standards equivalent to Euro V fuel requirements.
After the completion of the reconstruction, the processing capacity of the refinery will increase from 6 million to 7.5 million tons of oil a year.
