Saakashvili considers himself prisoner

Leader of the Movement of New Forces Party, ex-president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili said that he considers himself a prisoner.

"I'm not afraid ... I consider myself a prisoner of the Ukrainian oligarchy," Interfax cited Saakashvili as saying.

"We do not need any confrontation, I do not call for any harsh actions," he said in the courtroom of Kiev's Pechersky District Court.

According to him, the whole world community is watching this process.

Saakashvili was detained late on December 8, after an initial attempt to place him in custody failed on December 5 when supporters crowded around a police vehicle where he was being held after a raid on his apartment and freed him.
