A lawyer of former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, Markian Galabala, filed an application to the Migration Service of Ukraine to provide his client additional protection.
"The filing of such a statement is provided by the law on the status of refugees and persons who need additional protection," Galabala said to the Ukrainian media.
The representative of the defense explained that Saakashvili's defense had had several reasons filing such a statement.
