Azerbaijani gymnast Samad Mammadli won the silver medal in the pommel horse competitions at the XV Summer European Youth Olympic Festival in Baku, the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza reported.
The Azerbaijani gymnast ranked 2nd scoring 13.600 points.
Ukrainian gymnast Nazar Chepurnyi won the gold medal with 13.900 points, while another Ukrainian gymnast Volodymyr Kostiuk won the bronze medal with 13.533 points.
The XV Summer European Youth Olympic Festival is being held in Baku on July 21-27. The festival will be attended by more than 3,900 athletes from 48 European countries. Athletes will compete in ten kinds of sports - gymnastics, athletics, basketball, cycling, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. In total, athletes will compete for 135 sets of medals.
