Armenia's Special Investigation Service confirmed the information on detaining businessman Samvel Mayrapetyan.
SIS spokesperson Marina Ohanjanyan said Mayrapetyan was detained yesterday within the framework of a case which the committee is investigating, News.am reported.
But no other details are reported yet.
Samvel Mayrapetyan is also the owner of a TV company in Armenia.
