Today, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and the Chairman of Gazprom JSC Management Committee, Alexey Miller, again discussed the possibility of reducing the gas price supplied to Armenia.
They touched on the issues related to energy and, specifically, gas and energy sector, which is considered an important component in the Armenian-Russian strategic ally relations.
The sides agreed that Armenia’s membership in the Eurasian Economic Union opens up new prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation and increasing the compatibility in economics, including in the energy sphere.
In this context, they touched on the gas price formation and specifically the issue of reducing gas prices, which will make it more available for consumers.
Alexey Miller also briefed Sargsyan on Gazprom’s upcoming plans in the country, where, according to him, the social projects play an important role.
