Sargsyan does not believe relations between Ankara and Yerevan will normalise in the near future

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, speaking at the Carnegie Endowment, during his visit to the United States, admitted that he does not believe in the possibility of establishing any relations with Turkey in the foreseeable future.

"I am an optimist, and our policy is based on optimism. But simultaneously with this optimism, we are trying to be realistic, and realism says that in the foreseeable future, we do not see the possibility of establishing any kind of relations with Turkey," Novosti-Armenia quoted him as saying.

He entirely assigned responsibility for the current situation to the Turkish side. "If the Turks do not wish this, then no matter what we do, we won't achieve any significant results," Serzh Sargsyan stated.
