The director of the Institute of Earth Sciences, Thea Godoladze, spoke about the danger of the eruption of the sleeping volcano of Mount Kazbek (Mkinvartsveri), which is located on the border of Russia and Georgia.
According to him, the activity of Mount Kazbek is the result of the tectonic processes that occur in the Caucasus. At the same time, she stressed that many earthquakes are recorded in this area, but there is no reason for panic.
