Regular tea can be hazardous to health if it is not brewed with boiling water, Focus Online reports with a reference to the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (Germany).

The researchers found that barely warm water - 26 to 30 °C - does not kill bacteria, yeast, mold or salmonella, which may be in the tea, TASS reports. Thus, experts recommend making tea only with boiling water.
