A South American sea lion has given birth to a cub in the Batumi Dolphinarium, the institution has announced.
A female sea lion named Mari (12 years old) and male sea lion Pedro (13 years old) are the new parents of a five kg male cub.
This is the seventh sea lion born in Batumi Dolphinarium during the past eight years, Agenda.ge reported.
The newly born cub is healthy and is being taken care of together with its mother in a specially arranged space where Dolphinarium’s coaches and veterinarians are keeping a close eye on them.
