Sanctions Western pressure on Russia and Iran will not be able to hamper Russian-Iranian cooperation, head of the Russia's Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee Konstantin Kosachev said at a meeting with chairman of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations Kamal Kharrazi in Moscow.
The senator recalled that both countries have faced tremendous pressure from the West for a long time. "Fortunately, that has never hindered and cannot hinder the development of our bilateral relations," he said.
The head of the Russia's Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee also noted that the two countries are intensively fostering ties in virtually all areas. In addition, both maintain a powerful political dialogue between their presidents and ministers, TASS reported.
