Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has commented on the results of the meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
"We met with the Foreign Minister of Turkey at his urgent request, but we haven't heard anything new. The Turkish Foreign Minister confirmed approaches that were publicly announced by the President and the Prime Minister of Turkey. We confirmed our assessment," he said.
Lavrov added that the Turkish people are friends of Russia, and are not to be compared with those who downed the Russian Su-24, Tass reports.
