CIS countries support the peaceful settlement of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the prevention of the resumption of hostilities and in the region, chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergei Lebedev stated.
According to him, ‘‘all members of the Commonwealth countries are worried about the relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia."
The head of the CIS Executive Committee expressed a hope that "these wishes will be taken into account and that the collective efforts of the CIS and the OSCE Minsk Group will lead to positive results."
"We sincerely wish peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus,’’ Tass cites him as saying.
