Armenia's former president Serzh Sargsyan was nominated today for the post of prime minister, a spokesman for Republican Party of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov said.
Sargsyan was nominated by the ruling coalition of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutyun, Sharmazanov said, speaking after the meeting of both parties’ parliamentary factions, ARKA reported.
Representatives of the Armenian opposition have blockaded several streets and intersections in Yerevan, continuing a protest action against the nomination of Sargsyan.
