Armenian National Security Service officers conducted investigative actions in an apartment of Alexander Sargsyan, brother of the former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, in Yerevan yesterday after taking him off the plane heading to Paris.
The Armenian National Security Service press center confirmed to Interfax the information about the service officers' actions, declining to disclose any details.
As a result of 9 hours of searches, weapons and a large amount of money were found in Alexander Sargsyan's apartment, an expensive painting by a famous artist was confiscated, 1in.am reported.
Alexander Sargsyan is currently in the Armenian National Security Service, Hraparak newspaper writes.
