In Sevastopol, in order to conserve energy, on Thursday, instead of trolleybuses, buses followed their routes, the authorities also switched off outdoor illuminated advertising, Governor Sergey Menyailo reported.
"In order to ensure the normal functioning of the city at this temperature, we need 230-240 MW. Actually, tonight we had 125 (MW), now 195. Therefore, a decision to stop electric transport was made – instead of trolleybuses, buses are moving on their routes – and outdoor illuminated advertising was also stopped," TASS quoted him as saying.
