Sixteen people have been saved at the site of military drills in Kazakhstan's southern region of Jambyl that was hit by an avalanche, while seven people died, the ministry's emergency situations committee spokesman Ruslan Imankulov said.
The death toll still stands at seven people, whose bodies have been uncovered earlier in the day," Sputnik cited Imankulov as saying.
"The number of survivors has increased from 10 to 16 people," he added.
