Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe sent a congratulatory letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
"Our countries built very close relations after Azerbaijan restored its independence," the message published on the website of the Azerbaijani President reads. "Having made great strides in the years of independence, Azerbaijan is a country, which ensured stable development in the South Caucasus region and which is an important partner of Japan," Shinzo Abe stressed.
