Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu discussed with his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar the latest developments in Syria's Idlib province in a phone conversation, Turkey's Defense Ministry said.
According to a statement, the ministers also discussed "measures to reduce tension in the area," within the scope of the Sochi agreement and discussed regional security issues as well, Anadolu Agancy reported.
Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the developments in the Idlib de-escalation zone.
