Shoigu takes part in meeting of CSTO Security Councils

Russia’s Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu is taking part in the meeting of the heads of the Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states in Yerevan, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"The meeting’s participants are discussing issues that cover weapons standardization and the joint military training system development," Konashenkov said.

Besides, the participants are expected to approve a schedule of the joint operational and combat training for 2017.

There are six member states at present, including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russian and Tajikistan.
